Dr. Donn Peters, PsyD is the Advanced Clinical Training Program Director.
Dr. Donn Peters, Psy.D. is the Advanced Clinical Training Program Director.
He holds a Doctor of Psychology from both the Rosemead School of Psychology in La Mirada California and the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis, Los Angeles.
Dr. Peters has also completed Post-graduate studies with Drs David and Jill Scharff at the International Institute for Object Relations Therapy in Bethesda Maryland. (www.iiort.org).
He specializes in Affective Neuroscience and Attachment Theory mostly through consultations and classes with Dan Siegel, Alan Schore, and Paul Renn.
He has also completed a year-long certificate program specializing in treatment of psychological trauma from Bessel Van Der Kolk in Boston.
This program is designed for Masters level therapists seeking training in Contemporary Psychoanalytic models using the tri-partite model:
1. Training therapy
2. Supervised control cases
3. Academic coursework.

Students will be encouraged to publish their Portfolio Paper on the Northwind site and as a Monograph for wider distribution in select peer-review journals.
