Christin Ditchfield Lazo

Associate Professor of Spiritual Formation

Writing Center Director

Dr. Christin Ditchfield Lazo is an accomplished educator, a popular conference speaker, and the author of more than 80 books, including the best-selling A Family Guide to Narnia: Biblical Truths in C.S. Lewis's The Chronicles of Narnia.

For thirty years, Christin has been speaking at conferences and retreats all over the country, calling believers to a deeper life of faith, a life of passion and purpose.

As a professional freelance writer, she has written hundreds of articles, essays, and columns for national magazines. For seventeen years, she hosted her own syndicated radio program, Take It To Heart!® broadcast daily on stations across the United States and around the world. She is a frequent guest on many other radio and television programs and podcasts.

To her position as Northwind's Writing Center Director, Christin brings decades of experience as a teacher and tutor in creative writing and language arts. She has worked with students of all ages, from pre-K to the postgraduate level.

Christin holds a bachelor's degree in Christian Leadership, a master's degree in Bible and Theology, and a doctorate in Spiritual Formation. She is a Certified Labyrinth Facilitator, trained to teach and lead others in the contemplative Christian practice of praying the labyrinth. Learn more about her ministry at
