Master in Specialized Ministry:
Innovation in Global Theology and Ministry
This degree recognizes the vital importance of all of the Earth’s diverse inhabitants with
their languages, cultures, ways of thought, histories, religions, and their continuing evolution as
individuals, families, groups, and societies. It assumes that matrixed ways of understanding
these complex realities and their implications are essential for the (re)formulation of sound
Christian global theology and effective Christian ministry. Candidates will pursue intense, multidisciplinary, theological reflection and engagement with modern society drawing upon imagination, creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
Program Objectives
By completing this program, students will:

Better understand content, background, and interpretations of biblical texts;

Better understand historical and theological elements of church history and their impact on the church today;

Better understand the content, background, context, and practices of innovative global ministry;
-
Better understand how to interrelate Christian theology and ministry with a wide range of human endeavors.

Engage with Christian praxis in all its manifestations around the globe

Engage in the design and implementation of an innovative global theology or ministry project
Degree Requirements:
(Courses are 3 credit hours except for the Capstone courses which are 6 credit hours.)
Orientation 3 hours
Biblical and Theological Foundation 6 hours
Practical Ministry Foundations 6 hours
Global Theology and Innovation Foundations 18 hours
Electives 12 hours
Capstone Project and Thesis 18 hours
TOTAL 60 hours
